So, why a festival for asparagus? Well the story is pretty cool!

Roebling Museum
This week Roebling Museum is hosting an event, so I thought it would be a good time to share a bit about this amazing piece of NJ history. A few years ago I did a photo shoot to raise funds for animal rescue - and this was one of the featured locations.
Meet Penny - enjoying her photoshoot at Roebling and taking in the history.

The Roebling Museum is located on the former John A. Roebling’s Sons Company steel mill in Roebling, NJ. It tells a story of the company town and the pioneering engineering feats of John A. Roebling and his sons.
Inside this thoughtfully curated museum, you’ll encounter original wire rope machinery, interactive exhibits on bridge-building and industrial innovation, and compelling narratives of the workers who powered America’s infrastructure boom.
Whether you’re fascinated by the man who designed the Brooklyn Bridge, eager to try your hand at a rope-making demonstration, or simply looking for a unique, hands-on history experience, the Roebling Museum offers something for every curious mind.
With guided tours, family-friendly scavenger hunts, and events that bring the past alive, it’s a perfect day trip for locals and history buffs alike seeking to uncover New Jersey’s hidden industrial heritage.
That’s all for this week - now get out there and wander!
