Festival season is here - and fire help for our neighbors.

I like to keep these newsletters on a positive note, but we cannot ignore the fires happening in Ocean County right now. There are roughly 8,500 acres burning - with an estimated 3,000 residents being evacuated. If you had plans to head that way this weekend, check what is happening before you go.

Allentown - Spring Stroll from 10am-5pm
This annual Spring event highlights local businesses as well as local crafters and artisans along Main Street.
Cape May - Earth Day Celebration from 10am-3pm
Hands on educational exhibits, childrenās amusements, live entertainment, a variety of environmental eco-shops, scavenger hunt; all which will guarantee a day of earth friendly fun.
Elmer - South Jersey Arts Fest from 11am-3pm
Live music, crafts, food trucks, art making workshops and more.
Lambertville - Shad Fest from 11am-5pm (runs 4/26 and 4/27)
Enjoy two-days, filled with hand-crafted art, jewelry, home goods, a variety of delectable food, music, and fun for the whole family!
Lawrenceville - Spring for the Arts from 12pm-4pm
A vibrant street fair featuring over 150 talented artists, crafters, and vendors showcasing their unique creations.
New Brunswick - 50th NJ Folk Festival from 10am-4pm
Event features three to four stages of music, dance, and workshops, a juried craft market, a childrenās activities area, food, a folk marketplace, and a heritage area which offers a close-up look at each yearās cultural or geographical theme or other appropriate exhibits.
Piscataway - Union Muster Civil War Encampment from 10am-4pm (event takes place 4/26 &4/27
Interact with Civil War soldiers, artillerymen, musicians, medical personnel, and civilians. See Union Army troops conduct firing demonstrations and combat maneuver as they prepare for deployment.
Princeton - Porchfest from 12pm-6pm
Walkable music festival where neighbors offer up their front porches as DIY concert venues.
Randolph - Food Truck and Music Festival from 11am-7pm ($5, under 5 free)
Gourmet food trucks, music, beer garden, kids activities and more.
Smithville - Smithville Artwalk from (10am-5pm)
A curated show featuring 75 artists specializing in pop and lowbrow art.
Toms River - Cattus Island Nature Festival from 10am-3pm
Crafts, nature games, vendors, live animal talks and more.
Washington - Rock and Roll Steampunk Fair from 10am-7pm
Live music, artisan vendors, street performers, costumes and general steampunk shenanigans

Egg Harbor Township - ACAU Earth Day Festival from 10am-4pm
More than 150 crafters and food vendors with educational activities for the kids.
Freehold - Lunar Faire at East Freehold Showgrounds from 5-10pm (tickets $15)
Lunar Faire is a pop-up night market that celebrates ambiance, the strange and unusual, the moon, and all the weird things people make and do. From crystals to curiosities, there is something for everyone.
Freehold - United for Impact Food Truck Festival from 12pm-4pm
Support the Monmouth and Ocean County United Way and enjoy food, music and family fun.
Hoboken - Earth Day Celebration and Music Festival from 11am-4pm
Live music from local bands, upcycled arts and crafts, fitness demos, vendors and more.
Princeton - Party Like Itās Your Earth Day from 11am-3pm
Join Morven Museum & Garden and Sustainable Princeton for a day of earth friendly fun. Yoga, garden tour, trashion show, music and more.
Red Bank - Red Bank Street Fair from 11am-5pm
Join me (I will be there - look for the girl with the coconuts š„„, come find me and say hi!) - and many other artisans, crafters, musicians, food trucks and more in downtown Red Bank.

Erin is about 1 year old, 50 pounds and has the cutest underbite ever. She was left to be euthanized when her owners found a puppy stuck in her birth canal. Instead Jersey Pits came to her rescue.
